Photo Essay: Anti-Mask Rally

Introduction: Due to recent COVID-19 regulations that have been implemented by Alberta’s government, people and groups have began forming rallies and protests. I was interested to see what these rallies looked like firsthand, so I began searching posts and groups online. My girlfriend was helping me try to find when one of these rallies would occur. During our search, a woman messaged my girlfriend on Facebook telling her that “It’s going to be tomorrow at noon at the Leg. Tell your BF to search for ‘worldwide rally for freedom and democracy 2021’, but use Duck Duck Go, not Google. You will get no information about this on Google.” Eager to uncover the truth behind these anti-mask rallies, we set out early the next day to photograph the anti-mask rally being held at the Alberta Legislature grounds on March 20^th, 2021.
